DFS Group Ltd. is recalling refillable electronic ignition lighters that lack child-resistant mechanisms, creating fire and burn hazards because young children can easily ignite them. The recalled lighters feature flip-up caps over push-down ignition buttons and bear location names including "Hawaii," "Guam," "Saipan," "Las Vegas," and "USA." These lighters have an orange warning label on the back stating "WARNING: KEEP LIGHTER OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN - THIS LIGHTER IS NOT CHILD RESISTANT," and the packaging is labeled "MADE IN CHINA."
Consumers who own these lighters should stop using them immediately and return them to the DFS store where they were purchased for a refund.
