Yamaha Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Yamaha is recalling 2016 YXZ1000R and YXZ1000R SE Side-by-Side utility vehicles in four color combinations (orange and black, blue and white, silver and red, and yellow and white). Water can enter the throttle cable, and when this water freezes in cold weather, it can prevent the throttle from returning to idle, which may cause the rider to lose control and crash.
Consumers who own one of these recalled vehicles should immediately stop using it and contact their local Yamaha dealer to schedule a free repair. Yamaha is contacting all registered owners directly. Affected owners can identify their vehicle by the model name and "1000" graphic displayed on both sides of the vehicle and by checking their vehicle identification number, where the 10th position letter "G" indicates a 2016 model year.
