Scubapro has recalled 2015 models of UWATEC Galileo Luna and Sol dive computers due to a short circuit that can cause the screen to freeze or display inaccurate information underwater. This malfunction poses a risk of serious injury to divers, including decompression sickness. The recall affects only specific serial number ranges: Galileo Luna computers with serial numbers 150422 0058 001 to 150903 0338 005, and Galileo Sol computers with serial numbers 150423 0202 001 to 150921 0001 005. You can find the serial number stamped on the back of the computer or printed on a label on the product packaging.
According to the recall, affected consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dive computers and contact Scubapro to arrange for a free replacement dive computer.
