Harbor Freight Tools is recalling Drill Master 18-volt cordless drills with item numbers 68239 and 68287. These black drills with red switches have an internal switching mechanism that can become stuck in the "on" position and overheat, creating fire and burn hazards. Item number 68239 was sold individually, while item number 68287 was sold as part of a kit with a flashlight (which is not recalled). The item number can be found on a black label on the right side of the drill beneath the serial number.
Consumers who own recalled drills should immediately stop using them and return the unit to the nearest Harbor Freight Tools store to receive a replacement drill.
