These white plastic alarms, which measure 5.6 inches across and 2.4 inches high, can fail to alert consumers to a fire. The affected alarms have a Bosch label on the back marked "RFSM-A" with bar code "F01U263962" and a 17-digit serial number starting with 0922320XXX, where only those with date codes 001 through 458 in positions 8-10 of the serial number are involved in the recall.
Consumers who believe they have an affected alarm should immediately contact their dealer or installer for a free replacement. Bosch has already notified dealers and installers about this recall.
