Quartet Magnetic and Dry Erase Boards

ACCO Brands is recalling eight styles of Quartet magnetic and dry erase boards sold between January 2005 and December 2013 because sharp metal edges on the back of the boards can become exposed when the boards are removed from their mounts, creating a laceration hazard. The recalled boards come in eight different sizes ranging from 5 ½ x 14 inches to 17 x 23 inches, in colors including white, silver, black, blue, green, pink, purple, gray, and multicolor. All recalled boards have the Quartet logo printed on the bottom.
According to the recall notice, affected consumers should immediately contact ACCO Brands to request a caution label with instructions to wear heavy gloves when removing the boards. Consumers do not need to remove mounted boards unless they choose to do so, but should affix the caution label to their boards for reference if removal becomes necessary in the future.
