  • Brand Diamond Sports Inc., of Santa Ana, Calif.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Diamond Sports has recalled umpire and catcher face masks due to a defect in the harness stitching that can cause the mask to loosen or come off during use, creating a risk of impact injury to the face. The recalled masks are black with white Diamond branding and have one of these lot numbers: D-0143, D-0842, D-1041, D-1142, D-0152, or D-0451. You can find the lot number on a sticker located on an inside metal bar within the mask. The recall only applies to masks with harnesses that lack box stitching—a reinforced "X" pattern inside a box on the harness straps.

If you own one of these recalled face masks, you should stop using it immediately and contact Diamond Sports to receive a free replacement harness.
