What happened

Civia Cycles is recalling all aluminum fenders sold separately as aftermarket sets and all Civia Hyland bicycles equipped with these fenders. The recalled fenders are round, designed for 700c wheels and tires, and bear the Civia logo on both front and rear sides. Fender sets were available in black, blue, green, olive, red, and silver, while Hyland bicycles came in blue, green, olive, and red with "Hyland" on the top tube, "Civia" on the down tube, and the Civia logo on the seat tube.

The fender mounting bracket can break or bend, creating a fall hazard to riders. Consumers with recalled fenders should stop riding the bicycles immediately and contact an authorized Civia Cycles dealer to receive a $60 credit.
