Is my product affected?

Yamaha Viking VI

  • Brand Yamaha Motor Corporation, of Cypress, Calif.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Yamaha is recalling 2015 model Viking VI side-by-side vehicles because the rear wheels can loosen, causing the rear end to wobble or the wheels to detach entirely. This defect poses a risk of vehicle crashes that could result in injury or death. The recall affects four models: YXC700DF (Viking VI), YXC700DHFH (Viking VI Hunter), YXC700PF (Viking VI EPS), and YXC700PHFH (Viking VI EPS Hunter), available in Realtree multicolor, hunter green, red, and steel blue. Owners can identify their vehicles by checking the model number in the owner's manual or by locating the VIN stamped on the frame behind the left rear wheel—a letter F in the 10th position indicates a 2015 model.

Consumers with affected vehicles should immediately stop using them and contact their local Yamaha dealer to schedule a free repair. Yamaha is reaching out directly to all registered owners.
