What happened

Sunsations is recalling children's and juniors hooded sweatshirts in sizes small, medium, and large due to drawstrings in the hood that pose a strangulation or entrapment hazard to children. The sweatshirts fit children ages 2T through 12 and display "Virginia Beach," "Ocean City," "Nags Head," or "Kill Devil Hills" printed on the front. The recall includes style BL200 (item #16692) in black, style BL300 (item #16693) in brown, and style 292 (item #20221) in navy blue, pink, and light blue.

Consumers can identify recalled sweatshirts by checking the style and item numbers on the tag sewn into the neck. An affected consumer should either immediately remove the drawstring from the sweatshirt to eliminate the hazard or return the sweatshirt to Sunsations for a full refund.
