Kaplan Early Learning is recalling baby hammocks that can flip over, creating risks of falls and strangulation if an infant becomes trapped in the restraint straps while the hammock is inverted. The recalled product is a cream-colored canvas hammock measuring approximately 29 by 43 inches, suspended from a wooden pole with three red-buckled restraint straps attached to a cushioned pad. The hammock has "La Siesta" printed on a tag below the straps and model number YABN-1 on a white tag sewn into the side seam, and it comes with a mounting fixture.
Consumers should immediately stop using the baby hammock and contact Kaplan to receive a full credit toward purchasing another product. The manufacturer has already contacted all known purchasers.
