Blitz USA Recalls Enviro-Flo(tm) Plus Fuel Containers Due to Fire Hazard

Is my product affected?

Enviro-Flo Plus Fuel Containers (1- and 2-gallon container sizes)

  • Brand Blitz USA Inc., of Miami, Okla.

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Blitz USA is recalling green Enviro-Flo Plus spouts used on 1 and 2-gallon fuel containers because the plunger cap can dislodge and open the seal, allowing gasoline vapors to escape. This can cause liquid gasoline to spill from the top of the container during use, creating a fire hazard. The recall affects only spouts with manufacture date codes from April 17, 2009 through April 19, 2009 (marked as 041709xx1, 041809xx1, or 041909xx1 etched on the side of the spout). These spouts were used on fuel containers with item numbers 81005 (1-gallon) or 81010 (2-gallon) on the labels.

Consumers who have affected fuel containers should immediately empty the gasoline and contact Blitz for a free replacement spout delivery system. The gasoline container should not be used until the replacement spout delivery system is installed.
