LeapFrog has recalled My Pal Scout, a green and beige electronic plush dog toy approximately 9 inches high by 9 inches wide. The toy features plastic decals on its paws that can be pushed to make the dog play songs, speak, and bark. The recalled version is identified by "Scout" printed on the dog tag at its neck and "LeapFrog Ent. Item No. 19142" printed on the white tag attached to the toy and on its packaging. The hazard is that the plastic decals on the paws can be removed and ingested by children, creating a choking risk.
According to the recall, affected consumers should immediately take the toy away from young children and contact LeapFrog to receive a replacement My Pal Scout with embroidered paws instead of decals. Toys with embroidered paws are not affected by this recall.
