GE Recalls Ranges Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

What happened

GE is recalling Profile 30" Freestanding Dual Fuel ranges due to wiring in the rear of the range that can overheat, creating a fire and burn hazard. The recall affects model numbers J2B900 and J2B915 in white, black, bisque, and stainless steel finishes. Consumers can identify their range by checking the model and serial numbers located on the left inside corner of the bottom drawer.

According to the recall, affected consumers should immediately stop using the oven and contact GE for a free repair. The cooktop burners may continue to be used while awaiting service.
