Yamaha Motor Corp. is offering a free repair program for all Rhino 450, 660, and 700 model off-highway recreational vehicles due to a safety defect. The vehicles lack a spacer on the rear wheels and have a rear anti-sway bar that together impair handling and create a rollover risk. The company has agreed to immediately stop selling these models until the repair is completed.
The repair involves installing a spacer on the rear wheels, removing the rear anti-sway bar, and installing or continuing to install half doors and additional passenger handholds to help keep occupants inside the vehicle during a rollover.
