What happened

Fit & Fresh Smooth Blend Mixers (model SB-19, item number 770FF) are being recalled because the mixer can unexpectedly turn on when the cup is being placed on or removed from the base, which activates the blade and creates a serious laceration hazard. The recalled mixers are white and consist of four components: a base unit, blade assembly, blending cup, and cap, with "Fit & Fresh™" printed on the front of the base. The affected products can be identified by a four-digit date code on the bottom of the base; the recall includes mixers with date codes 2707, 4407, 5207, 0308, and 0508.

Consumers who have a recalled mixer should immediately stop using it and return the product to the place of purchase or contact MEDport LLC to arrange for a refund.

Hazard
