KéO Bicycle Pedals

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Look Cycle is recalling certain bicycle pedals because the steel axle inside can break, which may cause cyclists to fall. The recalled models are KéO Classic, KéO Sprint, KéO HM, and KéO Carbon pedals sold separately from bicycles. The model name appears in white on the side of the pedal. Only pedals with date codes between January 2004 and December 2005 are affected. For KéO Classic, Sprint, and Carbon models, the date code is on a dial stamped onto the pedal. For KéO HM pedals, the date code is on the bottom, with letters A through L representing months and numbers 4 or 5 indicating the year. Pedals marked "Ti" are not included in this recall.

If you own one of the affected pedals, you should immediately stop using them. According to the recall notice, consumers can return the pedals to any authorized Look Cycle dealer or contact Look Cycle USA to arrange for shipping and free repair.
