Hayes Bicycle Group is recalling SunRinglé Hollow Quick Release Devices for bicycles due to a safety hazard. The recalled devices—including models Hollow CroMo Front 100mm, Hollow CroMo Rear 130mm, and Hollow CroMo Rear 135mm—can unexpectedly fail or break when locked in position. This failure can cause riders to lose control of their bicycles and fall. These devices were sold individually or as part of SunRinglé wheel sets with model names Black Flag, Disc o Flea, Charger, STR8 Track, Accelerator R3.00C, and Accelerator T3.0C. You can identify recalled devices by the "Ringlé" stamp on the lever; quick release devices with solid skewers are not affected by this recall.
