What happened

Velvet and boa slipcovers made for Boppy® Bare Naked nursing and support pillows are being recalled for two safety reasons. The zipper pulls on some slipcovers can break off, creating a choking hazard for young children. Additionally, paint on the zippers in certain slipcovers contains lead levels that exceed the federal standard for lead paint. The affected slipcovers were sold under the Boppy® Luxe brand (in three color combinations with specific UPC codes and date codes from May and June 2006) and the Boppy® Soothing brand (in four color combinations with specific UPC codes and a date code of 07030).

According to the recall notice, consumers should stop using these products immediately and contact The Boppy Company for a free replacement product.
