What happened

Family Dollar stores are recalling metal jewelry sold under the Rachel Rose and Distinctly Basics brands due to high lead content. The recalled items include key rings and pins featuring religious symbols (crosses and fish), key rings with "Mom" and cheerleader charms, charm bracelets with designs like handbags and flowers, silver-colored rings with various designs and stones, decorated clutchless hoop earrings, and filigree and long drop earrings with stones. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Consumers who have purchased this jewelry should immediately remove it from children's access and return it to a Family Dollar store for a full refund.
