What happened

Coby Electronics is recalling two models of portable DVD/CD/MP3 players—the TF-DVD170 (5" screen) and TF-DVD176 (5.6" screen)—because they can overheat and pose a fire hazard. Both models are spherical in shape with the COBY name printed above the screen, and the model number can be found on the bottom of each unit.

If you own one of these recalled players, you should immediately stop using it and contact Coby Electronics for instructions on returning the unit and receiving a full refund.

The model number can be found on the bottom of the unit. 5.6" TFT Portable DVD/CD/MP3 Player and NTSC TV Tuner TF-DVD176 Product is spherical in shape with a 5.6" TV screen in front.
