Restoration Hardware Baby & Child is recalling all Roman shades with black-out lining in sizes 23, 32, 36, and 48 inches wide by 64 inches long. These shades pose a strangulation hazard because a child can place their neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the back of the blind, or pull the cord out and wrap it around their neck. The recalled shades have a label sewn on the left lower corner on the back that states "baby & child Restoration Hardware" and "Made in China."
Consumers who own these Roman shades should immediately stop using them and contact Restoration Hardware Baby & Child to receive a free repair kit. All known purchasers have already been contacted by the company, and the free repair kit will be available within six weeks. Strangulation can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck.
Consumers should immediately stop using these Roman shades and contact Restoration Hardware Baby & Child to receive a free repair kit. All known purchasers have been contacted by the firm. The free repair kit will be available within six weeks.
