What happened

NRS is recalling Sea Kayak Paddle Floats due to a hazard where the plastic inflation tubes can break and deflate during use. These yellow and black paddle floats, which measure 15" wide by 28" long before inflation and are used to help kayakers re-enter their kayak in open water, are only affected if they have clear or translucent inflation tubes. Paddle floats with black tubes are not part of this recall.

If you own one of the recalled paddle floats, you should stop using it immediately and contact NRS to confirm whether your model is affected. NRS will provide a free replacement paddle float for anyone with a recalled unit.
