What happened

Basix U.S.A. is recalling children's hooded sweatshirts and windbreakers in sizes S to XL because the garments have drawstrings through the hood that pose a strangulation hazard to children. The hooded sweatshirts were sold in pink, white, light blue, yellow, navy, and gray, while the nylon windbreakers were sold in royal blue, olive, pink, light blue, and navy. These garments have an internal tag reading "Basix USA" and a hang tag displaying one of the following style numbers: PK215, PK218, KPF265, KPF275, or KH185.

Consumers who have purchased these garments should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts to eliminate the hazard.
