What happened

See Kai Run Brand children's boots called "Ellis" are being recalled because metal snaps on the side closure can detach and pose a choking hazard to young children. The recalled boots were sold in pre-walk and toddler sizes 3 through 9 and are black with white stitching. They came with either leather or faux fur lining and have "See Kai Run" written on the sole and insole. The shoe box identifies them as either "Ellis - FF" or "Ellis - L" under the Style heading.

Consumers who have these boots should take them away from young children immediately and return them to the store where they were purchased. According to the recall, consumers will receive either a refund or a replacement pair of shoes.
