Emerson Electric Co. is recalling Emerson Designer 60-inch Ceiling Fans because the brackets that hold the fan blades can break, causing blades to detach and fall. This poses an injury hazard to people below the fan. The recall affects fans in seven finishes: weathered bronze, pewter, antique brass, white, antique white, oil rubbed bronze, and brushed steel. The specific model numbers included are CF760WB, CF760PW, CF760AB, CF760WW, CF760AW, CF760ORB, and CF760BS, which can be found on the base of the fan.
If you own one of these recalled ceiling fans, you should stop using it immediately and contact Air Comfort Products. Air Comfort will provide you with a voucher for a free Emerson replacement fan of comparable value and will reimburse you up to $75 for the costs of removing and installing the replacement fan.
