Is my product affected?

Air Hogs RC Skywinder Radio-Controlled Airplane

  • Brand Spin Master Toys, of Toronto, Canada

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Spin Master has recalled radio-controlled toy airplanes sold exclusively at Toys R Us because the rechargeable battery pack inside can overheat and cause burns. The recalled airplane is the "Air Hogs Skywinder," a lightweight 19-inch aircraft made of silver or black Styrofoam with that name printed on its wings. The plane comes with a controller unit and charger, with rechargeable batteries already installed. You can identify whether you have a recalled unit by checking for a date code beginning with 06XXXXHM in four locations: under the propeller, on the outside of the controller, inside the controller's battery compartment, and on the charger unit's stand. The copyright mark "©2003 Spin Master Ltd" appears on the right propeller mount.

If you own one of these recalled airplanes, you should immediately stop using it and contact Spin Master to receive a free replacement product.
