Porter-Cable routers with model numbers 891, 892, 893PK, 894PK, 895PK, and 8902 are subject to recall due to a potential shock hazard. The motor coil insulation in these routers can wear away from vibration, posing an electrical shock risk to users. The affected serial numbers range from 10001 to 24647 for models 891 and 894PK, and from 10001 to 68442 for models 892, 893PK, 895PK, and 8902. Routers marked with a "T" above "PORTER+CABLE" on the nameplate are not affected by this recall.
Consumers who own a recalled router should immediately stop using it and contact Porter-Cable for a free inspection and repair if necessary. The model and serial numbers can be found on the nameplate located on the top of the router.

The recalled Porter-Cable routers are tools used in conjunction with various bits to cut and shape wood. The model and serial numbers are printed on the nameplate on the top of the router. Routers marked with a "T" above "PORTER+CABLE" on the nameplate are not included in this recall.
