Cheftech Signature Series Grill Model#CT001
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Advanced Catalyst Systems has recalled certain Cheftech Signature Series Gas Grills (Model #CT001, Serial #001-030) due to a fire hazard. The company discovered that strong winds blowing into the back scoop of the hood can force hot exhaust through the control panel, causing it to overheat. If the front panel overheats, it can damage the gas valve assembly and potentially cause a fire. The recalled grills are 30,000 BTU LP or NG stainless steel models with a rotisserie spit and motor, identifiable by the Rating Plate label on the back.
Consumers who own an affected grill should stop using it immediately and contact Advanced Catalyst Systems, LLC to arrange for a free, consumer-installed safety retrofit kit. Advanced Catalyst Systems has already notified known purchasers about the safety alert, and all grills included in this recall have been corrected.
