Vernier's Go!™ Temp Temperature Sensors
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Vernier Software & Technology is recalling Go!™ Temp temperature sensors used in science classrooms. These sensors connect to computer USB ports to collect temperature data. A static discharge to the sensor can cause it to draw too much current from the computer, making the sensor get hot enough to burn skin or damage nearby objects. The recalled sensors have serial numbers 0104XXXXXXXX through 2004XXXXXXXX, which can be found by connecting the sensor to a computer, opening the included Logger Lite software, and navigating to Experiment menu > Set Up Sensors > Go!Temp to view the serial number in the dialog box.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Go!™ Temp sensors and contact Vernier Software & Technology to receive a free replacement.
