What happened

Razor USA has recalled certain electric scooter models because a weld can break, causing the handlebar to detach from the scooter and potentially causing the rider to lose control and fall. The recall affects the E300, E300S, E200, and E200S models, which can be identified by their model numbers on the down tube. The E300 and E300S are silver and green, while the E200 and E200S are silver and red. The E100 and E125 models are not affected.

According to the recall notice, consumers should stop using the affected scooters immediately and contact Razor to arrange a free repair. The repair will also include a new battery charger to address a separate overheating risk with the charger.
