The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Hunter's View have announced a recall of Fall Arrest System harnesses (model number 3333, Model Year 2004) that were sold with Hunters View and Comfort Zone brand tree stands. These harnesses could fail during use, causing consumers to fall from tree stands and potentially suffer serious injuries or death. The harnesses can be identified by a white label on the harness or tree strap that reads "model number 3333" and "Model Year 2004." The recalled harnesses were included with numerous tree stand models sold under the Hunters View and Comfort Zone brands.
Because the manufacturer is no longer in business, no remedy is available for this recall. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should discard the product.
