What happened

Felt Bicycles is recalling all 2009 model B12, B16, and S32 road bicycles due to a defect in the fork steer tube that can cause it to break. The B12 models are gloss silver/carbon with carbon fiber frames and forks, the B16 models are matte black/red with carbon fiber frames and forks, and the S32 models are gloss white/red with aluminum frames and carbon forks. All three models have aluminum steer tubes that are subject to this defect.

When the fork steer tube breaks, riders can lose control of the bicycle and fall, potentially suffering serious injuries. Consumers who own one of these recalled bicycles should immediately stop riding it. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should contact their local Felt Bicycles dealer to receive a free inspection and repair.
