Belkin Corp. has recalled certain OmniGuard Rackmount UPS units due to incorrect wiring of the outputs that creates a reverse polarity configuration. This wiring defect poses a potential electrical shock hazard to consumers. The recalled models are the OmniGuard 1100 (Model no. F6C110-RKM-2U), OmniGuard 1500 (Model no. F6C150-RKM-2U), OmniGuard 2300 (Model no. F6C230-RKM-2U), and OmniGuard 3200 (Model no. F6C320-RKM-3U). These units are black with a silver/gray front panel and are used to provide voltage regulation, surge suppression, and backup power for electronic equipment. The model number and type can be found on a label on the rear of the unit.
Consumers who own a recalled unit should immediately stop using it and contact Belkin Corp. for a free replacement unit.
