What happened

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Great Gifts Inc. are recalling three styles of snowmen holiday lamps due to safety hazards. The Turbo 1541 model features a train with a snowman and light labeled "Joyful," the model 1536A has three snowmen with a light in a campfire, and model 1628 shows three snowmen with a choir book and light. All recalled lamps have undersized wiring, no strain relief on the electric cords, and a flammable molded plastic enclosure. These defects create fire and electrocution hazards.

Consumers who own these lamps should stop using them immediately. According to the recall notice, affected consumers should contact Great Gifts Inc. to obtain information about returning the lamps and receiving a refund. The model number can be found on the base of each lamp, and all recalled units are labeled "Made in China for Great Gifts McKeesport PA 15132."
