Murray Inc. is recalling certain walk-behind lawn mowers in 20-, 21-, and 22-inch sizes, mid-engine riding mowers in 30-inch size, lawn tractors in 38-, 40-, 42-, and 46-inch sizes, and garden tractors in 46-inch size. These mowers are red, black, or gray with "Murray" written on the body. The plastic components on these mowers can crack if struck by objects thrown from the blade, and objects can be ejected unexpectedly from the mower and hit nearby consumers. The recall includes 17 specific model numbers that can be found on the nameplate under the seat of lawn tractors or at the rear of the mower housing on walk-behind mowers.
Consumers who own affected mowers should stop using the product immediately and discard or destroy it. The manufacturer is out of business and cannot provide a replacement or repair remedy.
