What happened

Pottery Barn has recalled its Halloween House Tealight Holder due to a fire hazard. The product is an all-black metal decorative house standing 14.5 inches tall with wire-web windows, a mesh roof, and a brick-front exterior. It is designed to hold five tealights—four on the bottom floor and one inside the turret. The hazard occurs when plastic tealights are used in the turret, as they may flare up and create a fire risk. The product should only be used with metal tealights.

Consumers who own this item should bring their Halloween House and purchase receipt, if available, to any Pottery Barn store. The store will provide a complimentary set of metal tealights and a warning sticker that reads "Warning - Do not use plastic tealights. Use only with metal tealights" to affix to the item for future reference.

Hazard

The base of the house is a thin flat piece of metal surrounded by a black wire metal fence. The house holds four tealights on the bottom floor and one inside the turret. "Made In China" is written on a sticker on the bottom of the house.
