Zenith large-screen analog projection televisions
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Zenith and the CPSC are recalling large-screen analog projection televisions due to a defect in the gasket of the picture tube assembly. A tear in this gasket can allow coolant fluid to leak inside the television, which may cause smoking, charring, and electrical arcing that poses a fire hazard.
The recalled televisions have 46 to 60 inch screens and were manufactured in Mexico during two periods: April 1995 through July 1997, or August 1998 through November 1998. You can find your television's manufacturing date on the white label on the back of the set. Projection televisions manufactured after 1998 are not part of this recall. If you own one of these televisions, you should immediately contact Zenith to arrange for a free inspection and repair.
