The CPSC and Hilton Hotels Corporation have announced a recall of Vacation Station™ Children's Cooler/Chairs due to a hazard involving the folding mechanism. When the chair collapses, the folding mechanism can crush, cut, or sever consumers' fingers. The recalled product is a multi-use item that functions as both a child's chair and a food or beverage cooler. These cooler/chairs were distributed as complimentary gifts to hotel guests at participating Hilton, Doubletree, and Hilton Garden Inn hotels and resorts.
The recalled chairs come in two color combinations: either a purple aluminum frame with purple fabric seat and green cooler bag, or a green aluminum frame with green fabric seat and blue cooler bag, with "Vacation Station™" printed on the front of the cooler bag. All recalled units were made in Hong Kong. Consumers who received these items should stop using them immediately and contact Hilton Hotels for instructions on returning the cooler/chairs and receiving a free replacement item.
