What happened

Pascal Products Co. has recalled Wal-Mart Home Trends 2-Paneled Fireplace Screens with model number 500RR due to a fire hazard. The paint on the metal mesh of these screens can ignite when exposed to direct flame. The recalled screens have a light rust color and use standard Phillips-head hinge pins. Fireplace screens with a dark brown color or elongated dual-use-screw heads are not part of this recall.

Consumers who own the recalled 500RR model screens should stop using them immediately and return them to any Wal-Mart store for a refund.
