DANSK Ice Cream Scoop
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Dansk International Designs Ltd. has recalled ice cream scoops due to a hazard involving the cap at the end of the handle. The cap can fly off with substantial force, particularly when the scoop is immersed in hot water, posing a risk of impact injury to consumers nearby. The recalled scoops are made of aluminum with a 4.5-inch handle and are silver colored. They were sold in four styles: a plain 3.5-inch spade, a plain 2.5-inch scoop, a Penguin-shaped 2.5-inch scoop, and a Snowman-shaped 2.5-inch scoop. The plain scoop and plain spade have "DANSK" written on the handle. Ice cream scoops with a black cap at the end of the handle are not included in this recall.
Consumers who own these recalled scoops should stop using them immediately and return them to any Dansk or Lenox Factory Outlet store for a $20 coupon.
