What happened

Daikin has recalled its MC75KSU model streamer portable air purifiers due to a fire hazard. The recalled units are cream-colored, measure approximately 23 inches tall by 15 inches wide by 8 inches deep, and have "Daikin" printed on the front with the model number on a rating plate on the lower right side. These portable air purifiers are designed to remove dust, particles, and allergens from indoor air in homes or offices. The circuit board in these units can overheat and cause the air purifier to catch on fire.

Consumers who own a recalled air purifier should immediately unplug it. Affected consumers should then contact Daikin for either a full refund or a free replacement air purifier.
