Multi-Purpose Yard Vehicles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Denver Global Products is recalling Raven multi-purpose yard vehicles that were manufactured between December 26, 2012 and May 7, 2013 and sold exclusively at Lowe's stores. The recalled vehicles are black four-wheeled gas-powered machines with red accents, designed to function as a lawn mower, garden tractor, or portable generator. They feature a detachable 46-inch cutting deck and cargo bed. The vehicles pose two serious hazards: mower blades can detach during operation or the engine can start without operator activation, causing the vehicle to move unexpectedly and creating a laceration risk, and fuel lines can leak, creating a fire hazard.
Consumers who own a recalled vehicle should immediately stop using it. They should turn off the key switch and remove the key, apply the parking brake, and remove the green and yellow fuses from the white plastic fuse holders on the right-hand side under the seat. The affected consumer should then return the unit to their nearest Lowe's store for a full refund. The manufacturer is contacting consumers directly. Consumers can verify whether their vehicle is recalled by checking the serial number on the identification plate attached to the lower right-hand chassis rail near the front wheel, where the first six digits indicate the manufacture date in MM/DD/YY format.
