Cooper Crouse-Hinds has recalled five models of black, round ceiling boxes used to install ceiling light fixtures. The boxes, identified by part numbers TP16002, TP16022, TP16023, TP16122, and TP16307, can crack and cause the attached light fixture to fall from the ceiling, creating a risk of impact injury. The affected boxes are non-metallic polycarbonate, measure 1.5 to 2.25 inches deep and 3.5 to 4 inches in diameter, and have "CROUSE-HINDS" and either "14.8 CU. IN" or "20.8 CU. IN." marked inside.
Consumers who believe they own a recalled ceiling box should immediately contact Cooper Crouse-Hinds to confirm whether their product is affected. The company will determine whether the affected consumer receives a full refund, free replacement, or free repair. If a consumer cannot determine the product status by phone, Cooper Crouse-Hinds will send a representative to identify the product on-site.

This recall involves five models of Cooper Crouse-Hinds non-metallic, polycarbonate ceiling boxes with manufacturer or part numbers TP16002, TP16022, TP16023, TP16122 and TP16307.
