Johnson Health Tech is recalling all Johnny G. Krankcycles by Matrix with detachable seats due to a hazard where the seat can unexpectedly detach from the frame during use, creating a fall risk. The affected machines are stationary exercise bikes measuring approximately 57 inches tall by 27 inches wide by 42 inches long, featuring black and silver coloring with "KRANKcycle" and "Matrix" printed on them. These machines have handles that users turn in a circular motion for cardio exercise and can be used in either a seated or standing position. The recall applies to all units with seats that can be removed by lifting up on the seat, including those sold online.
Consumers and exercise facilities should immediately stop using the recalled Krankcycles and contact Johnson Health Tech North America to schedule a free repair. A service technician will either permanently bolt the seat to the frame or, if preferred, remove the seat entirely and provide the consumer with a refund.
