What happened

Home Depot is recalling Soleil portable fan heaters, model number LH-707, because the plastic housing can melt, deform, and catch fire during use. The recalled heaters are circular white plastic table fans measuring approximately 8 inches in diameter by 8½ inches tall with 1500 watts of power. The model number can be found on a sticker on the underside of the fan, and the heater has a thermostat control on the bottom left front and power and fan speed controls on the bottom right front.

If you own one of these recalled fan heaters, you should immediately stop using it and return it to Home Depot for a full refund.
