Tern folding bicycles
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Stile Products is recalling certain Tern brand folding bicycles because the frame can crack at the hinge on the top tube, which poses a fall hazard. The recall affects Eclipse S11i and Verge S11i, X10, X20, and X30h models. The 24-inch wheel Eclipse model was sold in silver/black, while the 20-inch wheel Verge models came in silver/black, orange/white, red/black, and yellow/grey combinations. Affected bikes have "Tern" printed on the front end of the top tube and the model name in the middle of the top tube. The frame's serial number, found stamped on the bottom bracket shell, begins with AM1A or ranges from AM1102 through AM1207.
Consumers with affected bicycles should immediately stop riding them and contact Stile Products or take the bike to an authorized dealer. The company will provide a free replacement frame and install it at no cost. Consumers can identify their service tag number on the front of the seat tube, and the firm's website lists all service tag numbers included in the recall.
