Genlyte is recalling Capri track lighting fixtures used in commercial buildings because the light fixtures can fall off the track rail, which poses a risk of impact injury to people below. The recall affects 15 styles of metal or polycarbonate light fixtures, accessories and adapters that were sold in white, black, or silver colors. To identify if your fixtures are included, check for "Capri Lighting" printed on a white label inside the track rail and look for the catalog number and date code printed inside the lighting fixture; a complete list of affected catalog numbers and date codes is available at www.recall.philips.com.
According to the recall notice, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled track lights and remove them from the track rail. Consumers should then contact Genlyte for free replacement track lights.
