What happened

Bel Air Lighting is recalling nine-light chandeliers with two-tone antique bronze and gold finishes because the mounting loop that secures the chandelier to the ceiling can break, causing the chandelier to fall and potentially injure someone below. The recalled chandeliers were sold at Lowe's under the Portfolio brand (item number 256047) and at other retailers under the Transglobe brand (item number 2579 EBG). The chandeliers feature champagne frosted glass shades, antique gold lamp holders, and antique bronze ornamental scrolling, with the item number located inside the ceiling canopy.

Affected consumers should keep people away from the area directly under the chandeliers and contact Bel Air immediately. The company will provide a free replacement mounting ring and instructions for installation reimbursement.
