What happened

Homelite has recalled electric blower vacuums sold exclusively at Home Depot because objects drawn into the unit during vacuum mode can break through the plastic housing and cause lacerations. The recall affects two models: UT42120 with serial numbers BMP3540001 through BMR2103100, and UT42120A with serial numbers BMR2120001 through BMR3421250. The red and black units are labeled "Homelite BlowerVac 2 Speed Powerful 220 MPH" on the motor housing and blower tube, with model and serial numbers located on a label on the left side of the red motor housing.

Consumers who own a recalled unit should immediately stop using the blower vacuum and contact Homelite for a full refund.
